Ruby Lucille Tyree, 89, of Charlottesville, Virginia, died on June 2, 2012, at Hospice House of the Piedmont.

Born December 3, 1922 in Schuyler, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late William Royal Wyland and Lillian Lee Miller Wyland. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 28 years, Emmett Lewis Tyree; her daughter Carolyn Juanita Roberts; four brothers, Frank, Jim, Earl, and Bernard (Bay) Wyland.

Ruby was a homemaker, a member of Schuyler Baptist Church, and a loving and caring mother, grandmother, and sister. She would have given her life for any one of them.

Ruby was survived by her daughters Brenda Tyree Beverly, Joan Tyree Gentry, and Becky Roberts; grandchildren, Ashley Roberts, Amber Roberts, Jaylen Roberts, Joyce Roberts, Theresa Beverly, Troy Beverly, Jackie Page, Stephanie Gentry, Joseph Gentry, and Christopher Graves; 15 Great Grandchildren; 6 Great-Great Grandchildren; a sister, Audrey Ann Pugh and husband Eddie of Charlottesville, Virginia.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 5 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hill and Wood Funeral Home. A service will be held on Wednesday, June 6 at 1 p.m. at Hill and Wood Funeral Home with a burial service at 3 p.m. at Alberene Cemetery. Rev. David Hallingshead will officiate.
