I've been in denial that Bobby is not here anymore, but denial cannot be forever. I want to remember him the way he was on January 18 when Julia and I went to see him. He was my true friend, my counselor and we shared so much together over the years, not only at the Police Department, but during his retirement. I could always depend on him when I needed to ask for information, and I will never forget his "pet" name for me. It was easy to remember his phone number (as we sometimes have "senior moments") as the last 4 digits were that of my mother's. I prayed for Bobby so much and I will miss crying on his shoulder when I had a problem. He was a big man - not only in statue, but as a person. There is only one Bobby Jones, and I thank God for his friendship

Sorry to hear about your dad. Will not forget taking breaks and watching Eastwood movies at his house or getting dinner at that place in the shopping center. Both of you taught me a lot about Charlottesville.

Uncle Bobby, I have so many memories of you from our trip with dad to Florida to Labor Day picnics at Uncle Charles to talking on the phone. I will miss you and hold on to these memories forever. Rest in Peace. Love always, Teresa Jones Barker

Bobby will be missed by so many. He was one of the really "good" guys. My family has known him since he was a kid. I remember him as a policeman when I worked at City Hall; Bobby was good at his job and well liked. I considered him a friend and extend my sympathy to his family. He was a nice guy.

Bob was a good man and what you saw was what you got. He didn't pretend to be something that he wasn't and I really appreciate that in a person. My condolences to his family as he will be missed.

Bobby will be missed so much by us. Moore's Creek will just not be the same without seeing Bobby and all his foolishness. We thoroughly enjoyed his friendship over the years.

Marc, I am sorry to hear of Bobby's passing. He will surely be missed. He was a good man and a great dad to you. He welcomed everyone to his home and a good time was had by all. Remember the "He House?" I will keep you and your family in my prayers.

Lt. Jones was such a friend to me (formerly Sharon Frazier) and to my late husband Lt. Robert E. Frazier, Jr. and it is such a loss. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.
