I was so sorry to hear of Mrs. Blair's passing. She was a wonderful person and probably the classiest individual I will ever know. I can remember walking to her house as a child with my grandmother in Norfolk and later visiting her while a student at U.Va.
She was always kind and interesting and interested. My thoughts are with Sydney and her grandchildren.

What a wonderful lady! I feel so blessed to have known A.D. I remember her beautiful smile, her zest for life, her kind heart, and that she always expressed interest in others. My mother, Jane Ballance, was so impressed with A.D. and throught she was a lovely person.
My heartfelt condolences to the Blair family.

AD was an extraordinary person and my mother's 'BFF'. She was a true friend to our entire family.
I will cherish all the times and memories we had together for the last 50 years. She will always have a very special place in my heart.
My heartfelt sympathies to Dennis, Sydney, and Julia and their families.
Much love, Carla

My condolences go out to the family. Please remember to look to our Heavenly Father Jehovah for comfort. 2 Corinthians 1:3: "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort." And know that soon, we will see the fulfillment of this scripture John 11:25 which says "I am the resurrection and the life. He that exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life."

What a wonderful life A.D. has had. We shall miss seeing her at All Saints Chapel and catching up on all her exceptional family. Our last visit was at Thanksgiving, when we delivered a fruit basket from Grace Church. She was vibrant and as always enthusiastic. We shall miss her, as will all her friends and family.

Dear Sydney -- To lose a parent is to lose the one party that -- in current parlance -- had one's back: guaranteed. They always cared for us, we will always care for them, even when we or they can no longer retain their life among us. The loss can be grievous, yet the gift of so many years, graciously lived, can provide one with an invaluable model, and a great store of wise and wry utterances -- and the remains of conversations -- that continue to speak to one's heart: often in hours of need, and then again in hours of happiness. May this be so with you, even within the shadow of the inevitable sorrow at the present hour. Our hearts are with you at this sad time. Sincerely, Jim Nohrnberg

My deepest sympathy to you all. The day I moved to Westminster Canterbury A.D. came with a bunch of flowers from her garden, introduced herself as my next door neighbor just down the hill in the next cottage, and invited me for a drink. We discovered that we both enjoyed walking and from then on went walking just about every weeek on the various trails around the area. After she lost the sight in her eye, we only walked the "Monticello Trail" but thoroughly enjoyed doing it. I will miss her good company and interesting stories about her experiences all around the world.
