Marilyn Shirley LoPresto, 76

Marilyn Shirley LoPresto, aged 76, passed away surrounded by family at her home in Charlottesville, Virginia on April 7th, 2012 after a long illness.

Marilyn was born Marilyn Shirley Chenail in Williamstown on September 4th, 1935. She survived two brothers and a sister.

Marilyn married Joseph Francis LoPresto July 10, 1955 and was married until his death in 1998. Marilyn never remarried.

Marilyn was employed as a secretary/bookkeeper her entire life, and dedicated herself to her family and friends.

Marilyn's beloved daughter, Maria Lynn LoPresto, preceded her in death, passing away at Marilyn's bedside on April 5th, 2012 of unknown causes. Marilyn is survived by her son, Daniel F. LoPresto & Cynthia D. Breeden, grandchildren Chelsea Chassells & Jessica & Bradford Lohr, and great grandsons George Daniel and John Mark Lohr.

Marilyn also leaves behind her extended family, Sandy & Pat Sullivan, Wayne & Peggy LoPresto, Cynthia & Walter Sears, Suzi & Bruce Pierce, Greg & Suzi Chenail, Vicki & Jessie Wyatt and William & Robin Chenail. Marilyn leaves many, many cousins in Massachusetts as well, especially Wally Garrison, Eileen Boyer, Willis Boyer and Ruth Brewer.

Marilyn also leaves her much loved cats, Sasha & Jill, and her yorkie-poo, Joey.

Countless friends will miss Marilyn's infectious laughter and bright smile.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday April 23, 2012 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 154 West Government Avenue, Norfolk, Virginia for Marilyn and Maria.

A memorial service will also be held in Williamstown, Massachusetts for Marilyn and Maria at 11:00 am Saints Patricks and Raphael Parish,63 Southworth Street,on May 21, 2012 with interment to follow in the family plot in Williamstown. Marilyn's husband Joseph will also be interred in the family plot on that day.
